Saunie@Kaneali.com
Saundra (Saunie) and her husband Mark married and raised their two daughters in Republic County, where they also started their farm and ranch operation, later including both sons-in-law and daughters in the business. Throughout this journey, Saundra worked off the farm in various business roles, learning and growing with the support of many great mentors.
In 2014, after eight years as the financial controller at Nesika Energy, Saundra took a leap of faith and launched her own bookkeeping business, Kaneali Ag, LLC. She provides bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll services, and other professional services to small businesses.
With over 30 years of experience, Saundra is skilled in general bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, financial reporting, cash management, grain accounting, cattle accounting (both in feedlot and on-farm settings), inventory management, and risk management. She has also managed employees and handled all aspects of personnel management. While Saundra's expertise is deeply rooted in agriculture, her clients span across industries, including retail, manufacturing, graphic design, food service, feedyards, and production agriculture. Her passion lies in helping clients improve their financial management, organization, and understanding of business processes, particularly guiding new business owners to turn their dreams into reality.
Saundra is especially proud to have brought her daughter Neely on as a partner in Kaneali Ag, LLC, and to have recently hired two more employees to support their growing customer base and offerings.
For Saundra, the word “Legacy” is significant, both in terms of her family and her community.
“Legacy is not leaving something for people. It’s leaving something in people.” -Peter Strople

Neely@Kaneali.com
Neely is a native of Courtland, Kansas. Her roots in agriculture run deep, being raised on a diversified crop and cattle operation. Neely began her own cattle business at a young age, borrowing money and purchasing grass cattle in middle school with her older sister. She later purchased breeding cows in high school to start the herd that she and her husband run today.
Neely attended Kansas State University getting degrees in Agricultural Economics and Animal Sciences and Industry. After college, she worked for a large cooperative in Nebraska, working in grain marketing and crop insurance. Over time she grew her knowledge in diversified agribusinesses and most recently worked as a loan officer at a community bank for seven years. Throughout her time in banking, Neely found the most satisfaction in helping clients achieve their business goals, developing a deep understanding of both business and personal finance, and building lasting, trust-based relationships.
In 2022, Neely joined her mother, Saundra, at Kaneali Ag and became a partner in 2024. For Neely, working alongside her mother in the family business is a dream come true, offering the opportunity to invest more time in both the business and the family farm and ranch.
Neely and her husband, Roger, along with children Reed and Ansley live on the original Reed homeplace southwest of Courtland.

Kate@Kaneali.com
Katie’s passion for agriculture is rooted in her upbringing on a multi-generational, diversified crop and cattle operation. From a young age, she learned the value of hard work, character, and integrity. She credits her instincts in cattle handling, asset management, work ethic, and relationship building to the influence of her parents and grandparents. By middle school, she and her sister Neely borrowed money to purchase stocker cattle which they successfully managed and marketed. In high school, she bought 50 breeding heifers and two bulls—the foundation of the herd she and her husband, Bret, now manage alongside the cattle of Creekside Land & Cattle.
Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences & Industry with an emphasis in Agribusiness from Kansas State University. After college, she worked in economic and community development, as well as travel and tourism in the Flint Hills of Kansas. She later returned to Courtland and worked in the insurance and banking industry, focusing on crop and property insurance. In 2014, pursuing a longtime passion for agricultural education, Kate earned her teaching certificate and a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Fort Hays State University. Throughout her career, she has prioritized building strong relationships, helping others reach their potential, and advocating for the agriculture industry.
In July 2025, Kate joined Kaneali Ag after a rewarding career as an agriculture educator and FFA advisor. She’s excited to bring her experience and skills to support Kaneali’s clients in all areas of their operations. Her new role also allows her to be more hands-on in the family’s farming and ranching business and manage their retail venture, The Beef Shop.
For Kate, working alongside her husband, raising their children, and continuing the family legacy is the life she once prayed for. She feels truly blessed to live and work in the Courtland community with her husband, Bret, and their children—Brandt, Blakely, and Bristol. Through her work at Kaneali Ag, she hopes to help others build lasting success and legacies in agriculture.

Emma@Kaneali.com
Emma, born and raised in South Central Kansas on her family's farm is where her passion for agriculture and joy of working with family began. She grew up spending time in the field helping with harvest, picking sweet corn, and assisting with the operation’s bookkeeping. Working to continue the legacy, her husband, Cannon, works on the family farm raising beef cattle, wheat and corn. In the tractor or riding in the hay truck is where you can find the couple with their daughter, Ila, sharing with her the values and fulfillment of farming and family.
Emma attended Hutchinson Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in Applied Science. She then transferred to Kansas State University where she earned a degree in Human Development and Family Science. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree she was also a member of Kansas State’s Professional Agricultural Sorority, Sigma Alpha. During her time with Sigma Alpha she was able to connect with other rural young women, passionate about agriculture and developing skills to contribute to the industry. Accomplishing her goal of earning two college degrees, she began working for a community bank in Rice County. In her four years of banking she found satisfaction in building strong relationships with customers, expanding her knowledge of bookkeeping, and the gratification of finding how to best help customers with different financial products.
In 2025, Emma joined Kaneali Ag where she can continue her joy of working in finance and agriculture. She is thankful to have the opportunity to work with the experienced team at Kaneali Ag to provide valuable business services to customers throughout the Midwest.
